Don’t get me wrong I LOVE Hollywood waves!
They are the most beautiful elegant style and FAR from ugly.
BUT there are a few things you need to consider if you are wanting to choose this style for your wedding day.
✨Look, but don’t touch!
This style is very structured and if touched they can loose their wave. So if you do tend to fidget with your hair this might not be the style for you. Also with lots of guest giving you all the congratulating hugs they tend to get squashed and this can to ruin the style.
✨They won’t feel soft.
Again this comes down to them being so structured they do require quite a lot of hair sprays, volumising powders and teasing so it will feel stiff it won’t be soft and flowy which might not be the look your after.
✨If you would like to wear a veil with this style it could be a bit trick to place which could flatten the style or create frizz.
✨There is a very high chance you will need extensions.
majority of hair types will need extensions not just for length and volume. It for the structure. Extensions hold curl very well and make an amazing base for your hair to sit and follow.
However even with extensions depending on your hair type and the weather could play a big part on if the style will hold or not.

how much do i need?
As we all know everyone’s hair is different and will require different amount of clip in extensions.
So let’s start with our thin hair girlies!
I have popped a little example to the left!
As you can see the left hand side only has one packet of 20” long extensions and in the right we have used two packets which has created a much fuller look!
I actually think both are beautiful but it really depends on the look you want and this particular bride really wanted more volume.
So neither way is right or wrong it’s personal choice!
Where are my thick hair girls at?
I have a particular bride I’m mind for this one. Her hair was so beautiful it was long and thick and so soft! But when we tried a hair preview without extensions it did not hold at all and my bride was so disappointed. I told her if she reaaallly wanted this style we needed one packet of extensions. I think maybe she thought I was mad and that her hair was going to feel insanely heavy due to adding even more hair than she already had!!
But we added one packet of extensions which is 9 pieces and the way it transformed her hair was so magical!
